Delicious cake and brilliant service

I bought a piece of cake to take away which was delicious and a reasonable price, especially considering the location. The service was brilliant and so friendly.

Be Happy Aux Pains de Papy

Everything this place does is better. I’ve had far less tasty pastries, sandwiches, croissants and croque monsieurs in French tourist areas and cafes you could certainly describe as ‘bon chique bon genre’.

The ingredients and preparation are obviously top notch. Not reflected in the price considering what they serve. Small eat-in area presumably keeps their costs down (great sandwiches for example at 4 – 5 pounds) and always something fresh and different to take away.

‘Plus ca change…’? That cliché is not true here – this is a change for the better. If you haven’t visited in your lunch hour and you work in that area you are missing out.
